Ward created Nature vs. Nurture in the spirit of Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro’s work: Sphere Within Sphere (Sfera con Sfera). Through Pomodoro’s words, Ward found inspiration: “It reflects everything around it, creating such contrasts that it sometimes is transformed, becoming invisible, leaving only its interior, tormented and corroded, full of teeth.”
